Bit Gonzo Ltd (“we”, “us”) operates this website and the Ion Alpha product. This
policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for this site is Bit Gonzo Ltd, a company registered in
England and Wales (company number 11327984), with its registered office at
71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. You can
reach us about anything in this policy at contact@ionalpha.io.

What we collect and why

When you subscribe or contact us. If you submit a form on this site (for
example a newsletter signup or a contact form), we collect the information you
enter, such as your email address and name, along with any other fields that form
asks for. We use it only for the purpose the form is for: to send you the emails
you asked for, or to reply to your message. The legal basis is your consent, which
you can withdraw at any time.

Site analytics. We measure how the site is used so we can improve it. This is
cookieless by default and does not track you across other websites. The legal
basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site.

How your information is protected

This site is built and hosted with a design where the people running the servers
cannot read the personal information you submit:

Encrypted the moment it is received. Your email, name, and any other form
fields are encrypted to this site’s own key as soon as they reach the server,
and stored only as encrypted data.
The host cannot read it. The server holds only the public half of the key.
The private key needed to read your information stays on the site owner’s own
machine, not on the host.
Unrecognised fields are protected too. Any extra field a form collects is
treated as personal information and encrypted, never stored in the clear.
Confirmation links are not stored in a readable form. When we email you a
confirmation link, we keep only a one-way fingerprint of it, never the link
itself.

Some non-identifying operational data is kept in readable form so the site can
function: which form or campaign a submission came from, its status, a spam-risk
score, and timestamps.

When you opt in through a form, we record the exact wording you agreed to, the
version of this policy in force at the time, and the date, along with the network
address and browser you used. We keep this so both you and we have a clear, honest
record of what you consented to.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information until you ask us to delete it, or until it is no longer
needed for the purpose you gave it for. We do not set an arbitrary expiry date.
When you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, we remove your data and that removal
propagates to any backup copies.

We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising. The company
that operates the hosting for this site acts only as a processor and, by the
encrypted design described above, cannot read your personal information. We share
data with others only where we are legally required to.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

access the personal information we hold about you,
correct information that is wrong,
have your information deleted,
receive a copy of your information in a portable form,
object to or restrict how we use it,
withdraw consent at any time (for example by unsubscribing), and
complain to a data protection authority.

To exercise any of these, email us at contact@ionalpha.io. We will respond within
the time the law requires (under UK GDPR, normally within one month).

If you are in the UK and believe we have not handled your personal information
properly, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office
(ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate
the chance to address your concern first, so please do contact us before you do.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal
information we collect and to request its deletion. We do not sell or share your
personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your
rights. To make a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” request, or any
other request, contact contact@ionalpha.io. We review and update this notice at least
once every 12 months.

Where your information is processed

We and our hosting provider operate from the United Kingdom. Where any personal
information is processed or stored outside the UK, we make sure it is covered by
safeguards recognised under UK data protection law. Because of the encrypted
design described above, the private key needed to read your information stays on
the site owner’s own machine rather than with any third party.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the
effective date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
